The Westerly Flight Night tasting will begin at 5:30 p.m. in The Courtyard at S.Y. Kitchen. Pricing is $25 per guest, all-inclusive.

ALBERTO BATTAGLINI DEBUTS HIS LIMITED RELEASE OF HUMPBACK GOLDEN ALE AT S.Y. KITCHEN

 

Alberto Battaglini, with the collaboration with M.Special Brewery, introduces Humpback Golden Ale, a limited series super-premium handcrafted brew inspired by the ocean and whale migrations along the Santa Barbara coastal waters during the fall months. This 100% pilsner malt ale is based on traditional beer brewed in Belgium for centuries and is made with yeast that hails from the Ardennes region. The magic of making the ale is in the special process that produces its caramel, wood, sweet molasses and honey flavor.

 

The beer is aged in S.Y. Kitchen's bourbon barrels that have been filled and stored near the sea for ten months and mashed at lower temperatures than most beer. The fermentation temperature starts low and slowly ramps up as the yeast churns its way through the sugars resulting in a dry, slightly tart finish.  Humpback is a sipping beer created to be match perfectly with Chef Luca Crestanelli’s menu of diavola pizzas, steaks and short rib pastas.

 

Pricing for the limited Humpback Golden Ale is $22 per 750 ml bottle. Only twelve cases have been produced and the beer will be sold exclusively at S.Y. Kitchen...

Glasses and bottles of these wines will also be available for purchase to those dining in the restaurant.
